Joe Fangman, PT
ASCIP President

It is my honor to serve as President of ASCIP for 2023-2025.  ASCIP has been my professional home since 2011, and I have found the professional networking and educational content to be extremely valuable to my practice and to the patients I serve. Whether you are a longstanding members who helped ASCIP form in 2009, or a new member, we are all part of an interdisciplinary team in pursuit of our foundational mission statement, “Many Minds...One Vision”.  Our collaborations allow us to optimize the health of individuals with spinal cord injury and disorders (SCI/D) as we learn, mentor, and push our clinical practices and research to new levels.

As medical research and the healthcare environment continues to change, we must remain vigilant in our efforts to provide the best care possible for those we have the privilege to serve.  ASCIP is uniquely positioned by our multidisciplinary membership to provide a diverse set of professional expertise to explore and discover new aspects of care and life quality for those with SCI/D.

I am excited to see our organization grow over the next few years.  It is a privilege to work alongside strong leaders in the field of SCI/D on the Governance Board, Sectional Boards, Committees, our Executive Director, and the FIRM. Thank you all for your generosity of time and talents to ASCIP.  To all members and potential members, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions or suggestions at jfangman@craighospital.org.  I look forward to meeting you at our annual conference in September 2023.
